You may need to check your permissions on the zip file; I’m getting a 403 Forbidden when I try to download.

Same problem with:

You don’t have permission to access /download/Jello 4 beta.zip on this server.

Problem resolved (I think)
That’s what happens when you’re in a hurry.
Thank you guys!

Yep, the download works now. Will give more feedback if I come across anything notable.

Is there a way to put tasks in a certain order inside a context or project? I haven’t been able to figure out how it currently works (alpha sort / order entered?)
This is a great tool. Thanks for dreaming it up and being able to deliver!!!
January 24, 2008 at 5:58 am
@Breanne
Thanks
@Ian
You can sort any action list by using the sort by combo box at the list footer. It’s pretty easy to find!

It appears that the Project name is dropped/deleted when moving a Task from a Project to Review and/or Waiting.

I’m getting the following error when using webpage links in the shortcuts menu:
Line 4292
Error: ‘undefined’ is null or not an object
Everything else looks good so far. Thanks!

Thank you for your wonderfull tool, doc!
I like to update Jello from version 3.5 to version 4. Do I loose my project and context definitions of version 3.5?

Super! But my sidebar disappeared :\ It’s just an empty, white space now. I’m using OL 2007 on Win XP. Weird. Any idea?

Nevermind, I just reset the settings to default and it worked again. Thanks

Everyone, if you use JD and like it and feel like it has helped you, I strongly encourage you to donate to dr via the paypal link. The product and support that we get from dr are far better than most of the COTS vendors out there and not once have I seen a post from dr asking for money. If you think about the amount of time dr puts in to develop AND promptly respond to people’s comments, I think you’d agree that a donation is in order. And yes I have previously donated. Cheers.

Thanks so much for the sorting tip. Is there also a setting that I need to adjust for past dew items? They show on screen in the Master list but do not print. THANKS
January 25, 2008 at 5:57 am
Great product improvements. Thank you!
But, I get an “Internet Explorer Script Error” when trying to use the Accessible Outlook folders link.
Using Outlook 07, and have IE7 installed.
Only two of my 26 projects show up on the master list. Several have active tasks, which I’d like to be able to see. Shouldn’t I be able to see all those with active tasks?
January 25, 2008 at 7:51 am
@Jeff H
I’ve emailed you. It’s a setting to adjust!
@Jim
Links worked for me as long as I tested them. Do you have old links into your settings?
@Mathias
No, you won’t lose a thing! It’s safe, but you must take a backup of your settings.
@Mac9
There is a button at the right side of the header which shows/hides it.
@kivumanzi Says:
What can I say? Thanks!
@Ian Campbell
There is a setting for showing past due items. They do not show in printed master list? I will test that.
@GD Says: journal entry and rename it so that Jello will create a new one (you can rename it back later). Does it solve your problem?
Is there a chance to have a deleted folder (or inaccesible) into your stock? Run a test: Find your
26 projects? And showing only 2? Can you send me a bug report so I can check them out? It is really strange!

CAlendar and “Today” still won’t display items past around 2:30 pm. Almost as if the clock is off and thinks they are in the next day. Projects or calendar items before then show up fine and the days later pm items will show up under tomorrows date when scrolling forward. No way to see a full “current” day.

First of all thanks, doc, for your fast help/answer to my question (point 9) and the wonderful new features.
Another question: In the home page of jello, the incoming mails are displayed according the order: oldest mails first. I prefer to see the youngest mails first (just the other sort order). Is it currently possible?
January 27, 2008 at 2:55 pm
Hopefully all the forum comments, questions and answers are being added to the documentation / manuals so that future users will not be asking the same ones! Thanks for a great piece of software and a neat implementation…

Minor aesthetic issue:
When using the light homepage, today’s date is very close to the menu items: Home, Context, et al.
January 29, 2008 at 12:32 am
The tool is nice. Everything was going relatively smoothly but I suddently lost all my projects and context. Any idea on what I should look at to have them back?
January 29, 2008 at 1:13 am
Nevermind it was my mistake, i deleted the journal entry. I just restored it and got all my stuff back. Btw, it would be nice to be able to handle the journal entries just like tasks (and contacts) within projects. It would also be good to be able to quickly replace a taks by a journal entry. For example, I have my task “document process A” which is outstanding. Instead of just marking it as complete or pending, I would like to be able to quickly create a journal task with it, title, categories, time and billing info would be populated based on the task (or meeting). It would also be nice to be able to associate billing info to a project so it would default values for every new task within that project.

OMG! Something terrible has happened. I am not a technical user of JelloDashBoard, but one of those LOVERS OF TECHY THINGS THAT MAKE MY LIFE EASIER kind of users … and so I download JD and follow the instructions and WHAMMO, it works! Super. And I use JD faithfully having NO IDEA why or how it works in OUTLOOK, but it does and I am grateful… [some such thing about Journal folder, blah, blah ...]. Well, about 20 minutes ago Windows hiccups, or vomits possibly, and my computer restarts itself. I open OUTLOOK, click on “Personal Folders” to go to JD, per usual, and this is the message I get: “Unable to display the folder. Path does not exist. make sure the path is correct.”
WHAT DO I DO?? (I’ve tried the ol’ close down OUTLOOK and start up again … nothing.) Anybody have any ideas where… how… what I can do to recover my JelloDashBoard?!? … I think I am going to faint…

Nice new version. I upgraded from 3.5 and now when I click “No-Context” in the sidebar I get an IE prompt that says “No contexts yet”. I have plenty of contexts defined so that is not the issue. Please help, I cannot find my actions that were not in a context or a project.
January 29, 2008 at 8:48 pm
I’m very excited about what you are doing, doc, and what possibilites Jello gives to implement the GTD method. Thank you!
But there are some issues with it:
- the “no context” shows the existing contacts as tasks. I’m worry if I delete them from the dashboard, I will lose the data. Am I right? What should I do in order not to see the contacts there?
- when assigning the incoming messages to a context, and check the box ‘move’. The message appears in the chosen context, but still remains in the inbox.
I’ll be grateful to have solutions from you and will come back with other issues if any.
Thanks,

Whew. My techy husband resurrected my JelloDashBoard. I guess when I upgraded I didn’t download it to the right place … left it in Windows temp files or some such thing.
But I am happy now … and VERY grateful for all the work you put into the JelloDashboard!
Mrs Moose B. Pie
ps … is the ‘links’ under TOOLS working for anybody? Maybe I deleted something, because it was working fine…
January 30, 2008 at 9:15 pm
@John Sexton
I jot that down and see what I can do. I hope I will be able to reproduce this! Thanks.
@Mathias
I guess you use a localized version of Outlook. I sort the emails by received date descending using the [Received] outlook field. I don’t know yet if I can deal with it in localized versions of Outlook since this property has another name! I will try though.
@Joe
I’m doing my best (but I’m always a little late answering!)
@Andrew Gross
Hmmm I will try to find a workaround (too many characters in menu). Thanks.
@Frederic
Interesting ideas. Please send me an email in more detail (I did not quite get all of it!)
Thanks.
@Mrs. MooseBerry Pie
I got the no-context bug report. I think it works only right after you create a new one. I think it’s a bug and I’m On it!
The links works for some people. I got some bug reports but I have not collected enough info to see what is going on!
@Vadim
I’ve emailed you for more info on this. Seems interesting and BAD bug!
Thank you.

Dr Uqbar, thank you for your reply, but unfortunately I didn’t receive it, could you check please the address you sent it to. Thank you.

I’ve just downloaded it and so far so good. It is making my life easier. Congrats for this great tool.

Great piece of software! Keep the good work running.
But I miss two things:
– accelerate the startpage
– make a guide how to work gtd-style with this software! Perhaps you can write down .. how you work with it!
You are on the right way…

Thanks for your work, I am demonstrating your software to my French colleagues, and now you have supporters in France too.

And now, a suggestion for version 5.
It would be really useful to filter things that are NOT in a particular category or context. (Perhaps a checkbox for “Not”, plus the current dropdown menu of filters).
February 9, 2008 at 7:08 pm
Hello,
The tool is really good. I’m trying to get seriuos about GTD and there is one suggestion I would like to make:
- make possible to mark calendar itens as done.
The reason is: when doing the weekly review I would like to mark the calendar as done (after cheking my personal notes and including the itens in Outlook) without making a real change in my Outlook calendar.
Rgds,
Sergio

@Vadim
OK
@Marlon Candido Guerios
Thank you
@Deckhead
The start page can be accelerated by various ways:
1) Use less widgets
2) Have the sidebar hidden
3) Use the light homepage
I did my best to keep it customizable cause the use of the Outlook object model slows things down!
Yes, I need to make a guide, after I deliver a totally bug-free version!
@mcheron
That’s great news!
Thanks!
@GD
Another checkbox for the filter combo? I don’t know It will get too crowdy down there!
But its a good idea.
@Sergio
I would love to do that. Many users would love to use this feature but I cannot implement it! You see the Outlook object model lets you query only the ACTUAL appointments and not their reccurences. They don’t get a unique id also, so its impossible to deal with them.
