Oh they do have a new version available? I will check it out. Thanks!

@Marc
There is already a setting for your problem and its called Move mail items to Reference folder when completed located into the Folder-category tab of your settings screen. Is it checked?

This is a realy good idea to enhance the folder management. My setting of outlook consists of many folders and subfolder mostly to store mails belonging to different projects. But also my Palm sync software creates a lot of folders and outlook does it with it own archiving. But my current used set of folders is more a small piece of all possible folders. Thus your improvement will help.

*Also I would ask for an improvement* in the handling of marking mails as done. In the current version when you can set an folder for each project. If you mark an mail and set it is belonging to this project it will be moved to the given folder. Now you have it in the folder and also it your project listview. After processing the mail I mark the mail as done in the project listview. Automaticaly it is moved to the reference folder and the category changed.

In my workflow, the mail should stay in the given folder.This is the place were it should rest over a longer period for my own documentation. So when I need a particular information out of a mail belonging to this project I would look in the project listview and via the shortcut in the given project folder. But never in the reference folder. Which becames very cluttered after some weeks.

I would sugest to not move a mail to the reference folder when it is marked as done if it is not in the inbox.

At least:
You have done a very great job with your unintrusive enhancement jello.dashboard to all outlook users! It helps me to handle my projects and tasks gtd-like in outlook!

Thanks a lot!

Marc

In the new version they have a better distribution of steps following the GTD intructions. Just a thought. Take care an keep improving Jello.

I have used the d3 before and I think its cool. But within Jello?

@PeterLauer
Hopefully I will post a first public alpha version next week. The final version though is still away.

Good work!

My only wish now is a Kinkless GTD implementation within Jello as I love the tiddlywiki implementation http://www.dcubed.ca so much.
