Jello Dashboard 2.5 (a big update)

You may wondering now why the version counter got from 2.0 to 2.5?
That’s the best part. Changes!
There were so many good suggestions that I’ve decided to try lots of them.
The biggest change of all is the use of projects. No lousy (@P)s anymore. The projects are now pure text and you can name them anything you want. Of course you old projects will be auto-converted!
Other changes include:

  • better check of invalid characters in contexts/projects
  • Auto convert old (@P:) projects and store new values
  • Backup Restore, Delete and Edit settings entries
  • Transform a context to a project and vice versa
  • Keyboard shortcuts for common actions in item views
  • Quickly assign/unassign selected items to context/project from context lists
  • Mark non-Task items as Done
  • Assignment of folders to contexts and projects for transferring tagged emails
  • Project Archiving/restoring

Yup! You got a lot of things to check! Download here (from the same url)
In the meantime I’ve decided to create a google group for tips and questions. You can subscribe, ask and share your ideas.

I’m awaiting on your feedback…

Masterlist print bug fixed

A bug was found by some users which prevented the showing of context/project titles on the Master List when you printed.

It’s been fixed  and you can re-download the entire package.

Alternatively as a workaround you can delete line 262 (display:none;) from the file style.css (if you are confortable with editing text files).

Thank you!  :)

Jello Dashboard 2.0 (non-beta)

jello2

After reviewing the code and fixing some bugs, I decided that no other functions will be added to the Dashboard.

Most of the problems you reported were fixed. As for master list printing I’ve decided to print through the browsers print functionality. I also added a new print command next to the refresh butto, so you can print out any list or page you view.

The documentation is complete but not absolutely correct, and I need to add a walkthrough in some time.

So I created an installer that automatic extracts all the files to the directory of your choice, AND an hta page for easily setting/unsetting your Outlook folders homepage .

Download the version 2.0 installer

Of course this is not the end. You are still free to test and comment and suggest!

Thank you!

Keep up the good job!"So, after using Jello Dashboard for a few months, I have ventured out to see what else it out there in the same category of products. After trying FranklinCovey PlanPlus, David Allen GTD for Outlook and Effexis Achieve Planner (all commercial, some upward of $100 per license), I must say that Jello is the most intuitive and the least cluttered"
