Jello Dashboard preview 5

Hello again,

There is another preview version available. The main reason was the calendar past due dates bug but I got the chance to correct lots of other stuff as well.

  • Widget list items (except outlook folder lists) are now sorted by due date by default.
  • The state of the sidebar (shown/hidden) is now saved
  • The next>> disappearing bug in manage context/projects was restored
  • The Assign to… move checkbox last state is now saved
  • Title bar was moved a little higher to have more space
  • New title png icons from the crystal project were added.
  • Add task by command error was corrected
  • An icon for outlook item attachments was added
  • Permanently deleted outlook folders (and in jello stock) bug was fixed.
  • Links errors in renaming and deleting were fixed (test this one twice)
  • Private contexts/projects are now marked gray on the sidebar
  • Actions are first sorted by status and then by the selected sort method
  • Tasks with length more than 50chars are now marked correctly as done
  • New setting for year showing on dates
  • Added combo to select context/project in customize home screen.
  • Search box faster and looking only into accessible folders
  • Recently edited list now shows completed tasks too
  • Show all action was added at the bottom of multi-page action lists
  • German file update by Joern
  • Added setting to show past dues by default.

Thank you for your testing and bug reports. I think Jello is getting a little better!

  • [update 17/1/08]: vcalendar image error fixed. Please re-download zip file.

Happy New Year everyone!

Today I’m posting the 4th preview release of version 4 (probably the last preview) which is pretty much workable at all fields.

The main addition to this version is the new master list which comes with its own settings. User preferences are now saved and all types of items (orphan tasks too) are displayed from the user selected stock of accessible outlook folders.

The second addition is the on-the-fly showing/hiding of past due items from calendar views (widget views too).

There will be some bugs I guess and I am waiting for your reports.

You can download Jello 4 preview 4 here.

[update] : If you tested the release yesterday and could not find your past due items into action and project lists, please re-download. There was a small bug which was fixed today ( sorry :( ).

You're my hero, Nicolas! I've read the GTD book and love the concept but never felt the need to use it until now. I'm getting swamped and forgetting a lot of tasks. I also use MS Outlook 2007 extensively so that's why I would like to thank you in advance for a great product! (I know it's a great product"
