A new ability of the Dashboard

Starting from the latest update I uploaded today (beta 2) the jelloDash.htm file can be opened from the IE browser directly (with a few popups) and from firefox with the IETab extension.

I though it would be useful for a few, but it is more than that!

download from the same location and send in your feedback!

  • hi doc ….. I have the ver 3.0 and am itching to use it ….however, I am a bit confused and hugely hoping that either you or some other kind user will help me here. For me to get started I need to have an idea about the data structure and work flow that is being proposed by Jello – just high level stuff. As of now I am confused …to be GTD-ing my Inbox I need to be 3 dimensional – I see only 2 dimesnions in your app right now – COntexts & Projects . I am unable to corelate te Inbox emails into a data structure .which flows thus … All Inbox gets sorted into Waiting or Projects . Projects will have Actions as well as Contexts . SO can youpossibly provide my simple mind with a high level wrk flow pleeeeeese ?

The thing about GTD and jello for that matter is that there is not strict line of the way a user can use it.
The main thing is that you group your tasks into contexts and projects. Now as for the workflow, you add items, mark next actions and use the master list for weekly reviews.

The inbox management is a matter of personal taste. Jello’s main purpose is not inbox management and it’s not quite fast to do that. But if you choose to you’re just creating tasks of your mail items, or tag the mail items themselves with appropriate context/project.
I personally just flag mail items for follow up and not assign them to contexts.

For creating your personal workflow style, you can read the GTD book by David Allen.
