Blog updates and news.
The final Jello 4 release will take a lot of time to be released. There are many bugs, code which needs to be rewritten and many feature requests from you.
So I’ve decided to make available a first preview release for testing.
Please note, that this version is for experienced users only. There is no installer and there are many things which are not working right now, so do not mail me about old bugs remaining unfixed.
New things added here:
- Icon toolbars
- Widgets displaying Outlook folder views
- Management of not started tasks
- Bulk tasks addition
Download the alpha 1 preview here.
I’m expecting your feedback (in comments or email)!

Awesome!
I have just started applying GTD, I bought the book a couple weeks ago and I’m using the 3.50 Jello Beta. Definitely not an advanced user, but I wanted to congratulate you on the fantastic work so far!

whoaa!!!! this is just great!!!
Ok, I take back my word about version 3.5 being better as fas as the GUI is concerned. This is just great specially the Icons and the buttons…I love them!!!

Looks great… The Jellodoc.html is for 3.5. I am assuming that you dont have a version for jello cause its in alpha?. Where would you like us to post our feedback?

Nicely done – I don’t notice any obvious bugs so far. Deleted mail items show up in the inbox view – but that’s relatively trivial, I think. Thanks!

Concerning the Alpha 4 version, how do you feel about it in terms of stability? Do you feel reasonably certain about trusting it with production data?

I like the new Dashboard much more! Thanks, I anticipate every improvement! Seems much faster too.

4 Alpha is looking GREAT! I’m not able to see/select my “flagged” items. I really like the changes!!

@Sid
Glad you liked it!
@Anjo
But it can get a little better!
@PeterLauer
Yep! Documentation will be ready with the final version.
Your feedback could be a comment or an email as long as it gets into my inbox!
@MAnglesio
Deleted items show up in inbox view? Which view exactly? The widget view? I’m terrified. Give me more info on this please!
@Andrew
Stability? The routines for data are the same, but there are many old bugs. So far I did not loose anything, but let us be on the safe side and just test this version.
@David Robertson

@Kevin McFarland
Flagged items selection? From the home page? In widget? Please be more specific and send in a bug report.

Hi,
Is it possible to assign multiple contexts to an email, etc.?
For instance, I have an email that I want to assign to @Waiting On, but I also want to assign to the context of the person on whom I am waiting.
When I add the @Wait context and then the @person, it removes the @Wait context…
Thanks!

Got some enhancement ideas:
In the agenda view how about showing weather related information? Grab either, City,State, ZIP code, or airport code and show icons for different weather and hi/lo temps?
Also, how about being able to link contacts to eachother based on different criteria? Email address, business name, etc.
Just some thoughts.

@Josh Fialkoff
You can assign as much contexts you want on an item, but one at a time! The person that you are waiting for could be linked into a tasks by using its contacts field.
And how the first (@wait) context is removed when you add the second one? Is there a chance you’re doing it with the assign to… combobox on the bottom and having the Move or Replace checkbox checked? Or is it a bug?
@Kivumanzi
Interesting thoughts, really. I will keep them noted.
Thanks

Nicholas,
What about keeping a running list of bugs on the website and just striking through the items when fixed?
January 3, 2008 at 4:34 am
@Andrew
This is a nice idea, but I have lists in lots of places. I will try that if I find the time. Thanks!
